Which is why i have complied this short list of the top time management strategies that has helped me out in making sure that i do everything that i need to do.
By giving you the tips that has helped me stay on track, i hope to help out some souls out there, struggling like i was when i first started, to keep track of things and stay focused in their journey through college (or entrepreneurship) without having to panic every time a deadline creeps up.
Lets get started!
Create To-Do Lists
The first thing to do is write down the things that you need to get done throughout your week at the start of the week.
By writing down all the things that needs to be done, you are making sure that you are on top of everything by reminding yourself about upcoming tasks.
Creating this list will also help you stay focused on the important things because its natural purpose is to weed out anything irrelevant and focus on the most important things that you need to do first.
So how do you create a list that works?
Take time out at the start of your week to create a clear list of things you need to get done that week.
This can also include how much time you want to devote to each task of you know what to expect, but its not necessary.
Keep in mind that as you go through your week more things might come up for you to add to your list. So be sure to always check on your list and keep your list updated!
Be sure to tick off the completed tasks off your list as you complete them. This will help you keep track of your progress.
You will also get a sense of accomplishment when you look at the list and see how much you accomplished at the end of the week.
Your list will go a long way in making sure that your time is being managed efficiently. And that you are making sure to do the most important things first.
And as you keep creating your weekly lists, you will start getting used to them and become better able to judge which tasks are more important to get done first.
Create a Schedule For Everything
It’s also a good idea to plan out your week before it starts using a journal or calendar.
The Sunday night before you go to sleep, or anytime before your week starts, would be a good time to do this.
This time management strategy can go hand in hand with your to-do list.
The difference here is that you put the things on your to-do list on your schedule and set times for them.
Your schedule combined with your to-do list will help you better prepare for the week ahead, down to the smallest detail.
